1. Edward is the most attractive guy ever. This reason is the only shallow one, I promise. 2. Edward is so darn caring. Here Jacob is, constantly trying to grasp Bella for himself and trying to convince her to choose him; basically pushing himself on to her. Then here Edward is, constantly making sure he's what Bella wants and assuring her that she can choose whatever makes her happiest. I mean, come on. 3. Edward sparkles like diamonds in the sun. Okay...I was lying before. This is the last shallow reason. 4. Edward cares about the wasting of finite resources. Vampires can care about the environment, too! Thank you, Edward! 5. Edward speaks in the gentle cadences of an earlier century. Seriously, it just makes my heart melt how polite, articulate, and intelligent he sounds. 6. Edward is generous, self-sacrificing, protecting, gentle (even though he's stronger than a rhino, which just makes it all the more moving), soothing, charming, witty without being annoying (*cough* Jacob *cough*), and of course, loving. It's so clear that he loves Bella more than anything in the universe. More than himself, even more than his family, though he loves them above himself, too. 7. And to wrap it all up...EDWARD IS THE MOST ATTRACTIVE GUY EVER. His beauty isn't the main reason I love him, honestly. He could be average or below on the attract-o-meter, and I'd still be on his team. It's just a very lovely bonus.

Was Edward an idiot to leave Bella in NM? Or was it justified? Was this noble of him, or arrogant, or selfish, or stupid, or just tragically mistaken? If you think it was wrong of him (rather than just a terrible mistake), can you forgive him? Oh boy. Talk about intense discussion on that one (I had to read people's comments as always). My turn! Edward was not being an idiot. When someone is quote, unquote idiotic, I take it to mean that he or she wasn't thinking when they made that decision. And because facts make the world go 'round: id-i-o-tic - adjective - senselessly foolish or stupid. Yeah, so we all get the picture right? Well I think Edward definitely did not make a snap decision because you could tell he was contemplating the consequences of staying with Bella from the very start, especially near the end of Twilight. It was all those dangers that Bella kept encountering because of his existence that sent him to make a decision to leave. It was obvious how much he thought it through beforehand, which means he WAS NOT an idiot. Many people said he was being selfish/arrogant when he left. I can tell where people are coming from - he refused to work it out with Bella, he was the one to make the decision, he didn't think that Bella loved him as much as he loved her, yadda yadda yadda. True, those are all true, but I think you have to look beyond that. All of his notions and choices orginated from one central belief: he was unsafe for Bella. He believed with all of his heart that Bella deserved so much better than him and that with him around he was going to eventually end Bella's life one way or another. This tortured him to no end, causing him to think that his decision was the only right way - and that is where people get the idea that he was being selfish. No, he wasn't. He was doing this because he thought he knew what was right for Bella, and that was his only motivation. He knew how much it was going to hurt him, but he didn't even take that into consideration. He was making all his decisions based on the fact that he was endangering Bella, and therefore is actions weren't as arrogant as they appeared to some people. OF COURSE leaving was a mistake. It was the most tragic mistake Edward could make in all of his 107 years. BUT, it wasn't unjustified. People will go to any length to do what they believe is going to be best for the one they love, and Edward's choice wasn't any different. Yes, he was wrong. Yes, he hurt Bella. But think about it - if he'd known the outcome of his departure, he would NEVER have done it. He just didn't realize the full extent of Bella's love for him because he couldn't see it. He couldn't read it in her mind and so he had to rely on the minds of others, others who were not like Bella. Edward, you made a huge mistake back there in New Moon.

I'm definatley on team Edward. It's not all about beauty i know, but he respects Bella unlike Jacob and he tries to keep her safe even when she protests. Also, Jacob would 'trust' her and let her go straight into danger. Edward loves her deeply, more than Jacob. Jacob RAN AWAY because he heard Bella was marrying Edward, but Edward said he would just calmly wait for her. Edward has more paitence than Jacob and will always be there for her. Edward and Bella are perfect for each other. He respects her, unlike Jacob who forcibly kissed her, trying to convince her that she also loved him Then when she did realiz all it did was make things harder on her. So Jacob is not my best choice for Bella. If STephnaie does not give this book happy ending, boy is she in for an earful!!!

Team Edward!!!!!!!! Jacob is a jerk. He knows Bella is in love with Edward and he still makes her feel bad about choosing him. If Bella picks Jacob, somebody is going to get punched in the face. How can you not choose a guy who says "You are my life now.", "If I could dream at all it would be about you, and I'm not ashamed of it.", or "Look after my heart I've left it with you." Come on!Jacob already lost anyway. Did you even read Eclipse? The whole point is that she chooses Edward and becoming a vampire over him. Jacob didn't even imprint on Bella, so hopefully he'll do that in Breaking Dawn and both sides will be happy.But, I still don't get how there's even a team Jacob in the first place. Seriously.

look... I'm team edward 100% of the way! all the things he says to her [the good things] are just amazing. I mean he would give his "exsistance" for her. Jacob on the other hand is just plain mean and rude i mean he forces her to kiss her and on top of all that she ends up breaking her hand because of his face. if he really wanted bella to be happy he would just let her go with edward. and the phrase... 'you are my life now' isnt something i've heard Jacob say. so with that i say TEAM EDWARD!
